The “prophet’’ in our name centers on three core values:

1. Challenging the Status Quo - Truth-telling rooted in the present moment which acknowledges our obstacles as nonprofits, while challenging the system we face and even the one we accept in practicing our craft. We leave partner nonprofits with inflections & insights to overcome that status quo amplifying capacity and mission success.

2. Communal Action - Counsel rooted in prophetic wisdom is not found in a single leader like an Executive Director (ED) or outside firm like ours but rather, it is found across staff, small teams, EDs, Boards, and all stakeholders. Our value is to elicit and foster such wisdom and ensure it coalesces into workable practices and actions.

3. Bridge Building - Prophets work in liminal spaces where their work is rooted in bridging today’s realities with tomorrow’s possibilities.  Many times, the Executive Director “gets it” but needs the bandwidth to directly put into practice and/or help in aligning Board and staff. We exist to guide organizations over this bridge toward transformative change.

In our view, Prophet is not other-worldly, nor does it belong to one person.  It is engendered and elevated across stakeholders who, regardless of positional authority, bring value to problem solving. Our world and society face enormous challenges.  Our values-based approach helps you meet them.  Hence the convergence of these values results in “The Prophet of Many for the Mission of One”
